In June, qklpjeth mistakenly transferred 7,912 Renzo restaked ETH (ezETH), valued at $26.4 million at the time, to an incorrect safe contract address. This mistake resulted in the funds being locked and inaccessible. The investor explained that the error was due to copying the wrong address, leading to the unfortunate situation. Despite the incident occurring nearly five months ago, qklpjeth has only recently sought assistance from white hat hackers on social media platform X, after traditional recovery methods proved unsuccessful. The investor hopes that someone might identify a smart contract vulnerability that could enable the recovery of the lost funds. The crypto community has been responsive, with suggestions such as contacting the Renzo protocol to modify their token contract. However, qklpjeth had already reached out to Renzo, who were unable to assist due to regulatory constraints.
