The UK government is reportedly considering legislation to remove Prince Andrew, the brother of King Charles III, from the line of succession to the British throne. According to RTHK, officials have indicated that action will be taken following the conclusion of police investigations into Prince Andrew. Any changes to the royal succession would require agreement with some Commonwealth members.
Last October, King Charles III stripped Prince Andrew of his titles, honors, and royal status. In February, Prince Andrew moved out of his royal residence, yet he remains eighth in line to the throne. Recently, Prince Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office but was subsequently released.
