GEOPOLITICS | Ukraine, U.S., and Russia to Discuss Peace Talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that a trilateral meeting involving Ukraine, the United States, and Russia is expected to occur within a week to ten days. According to RTHK, Zelensky emphasized the importance of ending the war and securing genuine safety guarantees rather than a superficial ceasefire. European Union and European leaders visited Kyiv, with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen affirming continued support for Ukraine's EU membership process. Earlier, Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service indicated that the UK and France are considering providing nuclear weapons to Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin criticized adversaries for provoking tensions and undermining negotiation efforts. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia remains open to advancing the peace process regarding the Ukraine issue.
