Oil Prices Stabilize as Iran Conflict Eases

Oil futures prices have stabilized following a decrease in momentum from the surge driven by the Iran conflict. According to Jin10, Russell Shor from Tradu noted that the parabolic rise in Brent and West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices has made them susceptible to short-term pullbacks, indicating an overbought market condition. He further explained that the passage of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz has effectively stalled, posing a significant challenge in transporting oil to the market. Shor suggested that U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to provide naval support for tankers passing through the strait could serve as a catalyst for normalizing oil prices after their rapid increase.
