Solo Satoshi has introduced the Bitaxe Turbo Touch, an open-source touchscreen bitcoin miner designed for home users. According to NS3.AI, this compact device offers a mining performance of approximately 2.15 terahashes per second (TH/s). It utilizes dual BM1370 ASIC chips, achieving an efficiency of around 18 joules per terahash (J/TH) while consuming about 43 watts of power and generating noise levels of approximately 35 decibels.
Solo Satoshi has made the firmware and hardware designs of the Bitaxe Turbo Touch available under an open hardware license. This positions the device as a cost-effective alternative to Braiins' BMM 101, offering a lower cost per terahash for users interested in home-based bitcoin mining.
