Circle's stock experienced a 10% increase on Monday, marking an 86% rise over the past month, outperforming other crypto-linked equities. According to NS3.AI, a report from Japanese bank Mizuho attributes part of this movement to a significant 35% increase in WTI crude prices since February 28. This rise in crude prices could potentially revive inflation pressures and limit Federal Reserve rate cuts, which may benefit stablecoin issuers like Circle through higher interest income. Analysts also point to a crowded short trade ahead of Circle's fourth-quarter earnings as a factor in the stock's surge. Short interest is approximately 13% of the float, equating to roughly two days to cover. This situation has contributed to the upward momentum in Circle's stock price.
