Blockchain sleuth ZachXBT posted on X, expressing concerns about the prevalence of spam and AI-generated content on social media platforms. He emphasized that the quality of posts, whether humorous or informative, is more important than the origin of the user. ZachXBT criticized the rise of spam, attributing it to incentives provided by platforms like InfoFi, which have become major catalysts for such content.
He noted that regions with lower living costs are more likely to produce spam, as it remains economically viable there. To combat this issue, ZachXBT suggested blocking or muting users by country as a short-term solution, since spam disproportionately originates from certain areas. He argued that bad actors in these regions have tarnished the reputation of genuine users.
ZachXBT also pointed out the irony of being labeled as racist by accounts that are themselves contributing to the spam problem. He stressed that no quality account on X appreciates spam or AI-generated content, urging users to focus on maintaining the integrity and quality of their posts.
