A preliminary investigation by the U.S. military has determined that a missile strike on an Iranian elementary school was accidental. According to Jin10, the incident occurred on February 28 when a Tomahawk cruise missile mistakenly hit the school in Minab city during an airstrike targeting an Iranian military base. The investigation revealed that outdated data provided by the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency led to the school being incorrectly identified as a military target. The building had previously been part of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps naval base but was converted into a school between 2013 and 2016.
