Tether is seeking to achieve a valuation of $500 billion, positioning itself as one of the highest-valued private companies globally. According to Foresight News, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that the company plans to complete a comprehensive audit by the end of 2026 and is currently in discussions with major accounting firms.
Tether revealed that its profits exceeded $10 billion last year and it holds approximately $122 billion in U.S. Treasury securities, ranking as the 17th largest holder of U.S. Treasuries worldwide. Additionally, Tether is promoting its compliant token, USAT, in the U.S. market and has made over 140 investments in sectors such as artificial intelligence, energy, and brain-computer interfaces.
