Hungarian Troops Withdraw from Iraq Amid Middle East Tensions

Hungarian Chief of Defense Staff, Gábor Böröndi, announced on March 14 that due to escalating tensions in the Middle East, Hungarian soldiers and staff stationed in Erbil, Iraq, have been relocated to Turkey and will soon return to Hungary. According to Jin10, this move follows multiple attacks by Iran on bases in Iraq housing U.S. troops, subsequent to military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran. It has been reported that no Hungarian soldiers were injured in the previous attacks.
