Four Dead After Fishing Boat Collides with Cargo Ship Near Misawa

A fishing boat capsized after colliding with a cargo ship near Misawa City in Aomori Prefecture, Japan, resulting in the deaths of four crew members. According to RTHK, the Hachinohe Coast Guard Office reported receiving information about the collision around 1 a.m. All 13 crew members of the fishing boat fell into the sea following the incident. Nine were rescued shortly after, while the remaining four were found unconscious in the morning and later confirmed dead. The Japanese Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the accident.
