Nasdaq and Talos Collaborate on Tokenized Collateral Management Solution

Nasdaq has partnered with Talos to integrate Talos's digital asset infrastructure with Nasdaq's Calypso and Trade Surveillance platforms, aiming to develop a comprehensive solution for tokenized collateral management. According to Foresight News, this collaboration seeks to address structural barriers in the institutional market for tokenized collateral, facilitating real-time movement of assets like securities and cash equivalents across different platforms. Nasdaq's report indicates that approximately 25% of collateral, valued at over $35 billion, is currently idle or non-profitable. Through this integration, Talos clients will be able to utilize Nasdaq's trade surveillance capabilities to monitor market abuse behaviors such as wash trading, layering, and spoofing, thereby strengthening compliance frameworks and meeting regulatory requirements.
