On April 21, the Arbitrum Security Committee announced it had taken emergency measures to recover 30,766 ETH stored in an Arbitrum One address associated with a KelpDAO vulnerability. According to BlockBeats, the committee, with assistance from law enforcement, identified the attacker while ensuring the safety and integrity of the Arbitrum community, without affecting any users or applications.
Following extensive technical investigation and deliberation, the committee implemented a solution to transfer the funds to a secure location without impacting other chain states or Arbitrum users. As of 11:26 PM Eastern Time on April 20, the funds were successfully moved to an intermediary frozen wallet. The original address holding the funds is now inaccessible, and only Arbitrum authorities can take further action to transfer the funds, which will be coordinated with relevant parties.
