Tokenization Gains Traction in Banking Infrastructure

Executives from Citi, JPMorgan, and DTCC have highlighted the integration of tokenization into existing banking systems rather than replacing them. According to NS3.AI, JPMorgan's Kinexys platform has processed transactions exceeding $1 trillion. Ryan Rugg from Citi noted that their tokenized deposit system has significantly increased its transaction volume from millions a year ago to billions now. Meanwhile, DTCC is in the initial stages of implementing a shared digital layer for parts of its $150 trillion securities infrastructure.
