AI TRENDS | Synthegy's Molecule Synthesis Ranking Matches Chemist Choices in Majority of Tests

EPFL researchers have developed Synthegy, an AI tool that utilizes large language models to evaluate and rank molecule synthesis routes. According to NS3.AI, the tool demonstrated a 71.2% match rate with chemist selections during testing. The validation process involved 36 independent chemists who assessed 368 route-pair evaluations, highlighting the potential of AI in enhancing chemical synthesis processes.
