Climate Change Drives More Frequent Marine Heatwaves, Bringing Jellyfish to European Beaches

Climate change-driven ocean warming has brought large numbers of Portuguese man o' war to beaches along the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts of Europe. According to Sina Finance, the species has triggered beach warnings and sting incidents in several places, including Arcachon Beach on France's Atlantic coast, where swimming was briefly banned this month, and the Basque coast, which reported more than 1,000 stings in the past two weeks.
