According to Odaily, Zach Pandl, Managing Director of Research at Grayscale, anticipates significant developments in the cryptocurrency sector following the approval of a spot ETF in 2024 and the election of Donald Trump. By 2025, Pandl expects more incremental breakthroughs in the industry, with institutions like pension and endowment funds accelerating their entry into the market. He also foresees more comprehensive legislation from Congress and suggests that Bitcoin could become a reserve asset in the United States.
Pandl believes that reaching a Bitcoin price of $500,000 by 2030 is not "entirely impossible." He disclosed that some portfolio managers have already allocated up to 5% of their assets to cryptocurrencies, with more institutional approval processes expected to be completed within the next 6 to 12 months. Additionally, Pandl is optimistic about Ethereum's potential for institutional adoption, describing it as "one of the most important open-source software projects."
