According to Odaily, recent market reports indicate that the U.S. Office of Government Ethics has released documents detailing the financial information of Howard Lutnick, nominated by former President Trump for the position of Commerce Secretary. Lutnick, a known advocate for Bitcoin, is also the CEO of New York brokerage firm Cantor Fitzgerald. The firm earns fees by managing billions of dollars in U.S. Treasury securities for Tether, a company that issues stablecoins. At the Bitcoin 2024 conference in July, Lutnick openly stated, "Do I own Bitcoin? Of course, I do. Does Cantor Fitzgerald own Bitcoin? A lot."
