According to PANews, U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff plan has raised concerns in the market, leading to significant declines in most Asian cryptocurrency stocks. On Monday, Japan's Metaplanet shares closed down by 9.44%, Hong Kong's OKG Tech fell by 9.09%, and Boyaa Interactive saw a decrease of 4.64%. Additionally, Japan's Nikkei 225 index dropped by 2.66%, and South Korea's Kospi index fell by 2.52%, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index remained relatively stable.
Peter Chung, Head of Research at Presto Research, commented, "The cryptocurrency market reacted negatively to the U.S. announced tariff plan. Since this news emerged on Saturday morning in Asia (UTC+8), Asian stock market investors only responded to it today, which explains the sell-off in Asian cryptocurrency stocks."
