According to Odaily, Bybit CEO recently discussed a security breach during a live broadcast. He explained that Bybit conducts internal asset transfers approximately every three weeks, depending on the balance in their hot wallet. Transfers occur when the hot wallet reaches a threshold deemed necessary for replenishment. The CEO is the final signatory for these transactions, reviewing links, user interface, target addresses, and code, although not thoroughly.
The breach involved hackers manipulating the user interface on all signatories' computers. It was later confirmed that the attack targeted an Ethereum cold wallet under the secure wallet category, while other cold wallets remained unaffected. The CEO assured that Bitcoin, which constitutes their primary reserve, remains secure.
