Revolut Initiates Share Buyback to Maintain Private Status

According to Foresight News, British fintech company Revolut has launched its first share buyback offer, allowing it to repurchase up to 10% of shares from qualified investors. Sources familiar with the matter indicated that Revolut is prioritizing early investors in this offer, with the aim of maintaining its private status for a longer period. This initiative complements Revolut's secondary stock offering plan, which began on Monday. The plan permits existing employees to sell up to 20% of their shares to both new and existing supporters. Additionally, Revolut is in discussions with firms like Greenoaks Capital to raise new funds. The company is also exploring ways to expand its presence in the United States. This includes considering applying for a full banking license or acquiring an existing bank with its own license.
