Philippines Adopts Blockchain for Public Works Transparency

According to Foresight News, following large-scale protests over corruption allegations in multi-billion flood control projects, the Philippines has introduced a blockchain-based transparency system for the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). Developed by BayaniChain Ventures, the Integrity Chain records DPWH contracts and project milestones on a tamper-proof ledger. Paul Soliman, CEO and co-founder of BayaniChain, stated that the platform aims to transform government records into immutable, verifiable, and publicly auditable digital public assets.
