According to Odaily, D3 Global has announced the official launch of the Doma Protocol mainnet, introducing domain names as tokenized assets for trading. The mainnet launch features several high-end domain assets, demonstrating how Doma can transform valuable domain names into liquid, tradable assets while maintaining DNS compatibility and intrinsic value. By tokenizing scarce assets like Software.ai into ERC-20 tokens, the initiative aims to disrupt the monopoly previously held by a few high-capital domain owners. Doma plans to integrate over 36 million domains onto the blockchain through strategic partnerships with registrars, creating a global network. Token holders can trade fractional ownership of underlying domains, provide liquidity to earn transaction fees, or unlock utility features through long-term staking, while the domains retain their value as DNS-compliant internet assets.
