코인베이스 "USDC, 작년 12월 이후 USDT 성장세 추월"
코인베이스가 26일(현지시간)자 보고서에서 "USDC 발행량은 작년 12월 1일 이후 35억 달러(14.3%) 이상 증가해 USDT(28억·8.7% 증가)의 성장세를 넘어섰다"고 진단했다. 보고서는 "USDC 기반 거래량은 전 세계 중앙화 거래소(CEX) 거래량의 4% 수준으로 아직 낮지만 이는 2023년 초 대비 5배 증가한 수준이다. 바이낸스가 BUSD 지원을 중단한 뒤 시총 기준 최대 스테이블코인 USDT의 시장 점유율은 꾸준히 상승했다. USDC는 비 미국 지역에서 거래량이 증가하며 유동성이 개선되기 시작했고, USDC의 온체인 거래량도 증가 추세를 지속하고 있다. 시총·유동성 증가세는 올해 남은 기간동안 계속될 것"이라고 설명했다. 코인마켓캡 기준 USDC 시총은 285.3억 달러를 기록하고 있다.

바이낸스 현물 거래 페어 중 FDUSD 비율 '역대 최대'
더블록이 자체 데이터를 인용해 스테이블코인 FDUSD 현물 거래 페어가 지난 12일(현지시간) 바이낸스 전체 현물 거래량에서 역대 최대 점유율(38%)을 기록했다고 전했다. 이는 전월과 비교해 42.6% 증가한 수치다. 이에 대해 더블록 소속 데이터 애널리스트 레베카 스티븐스(Rebecca Stevens)는 "BTC/FDUSD를 포함한 FDUSD 페어는 대부분 거래 수수료가 면제된다. 바이낸스가 BUSD 지원을 중단한 가운데 TUSD 인기는 줄면서 사용자들이 FDUSD 페어로 유입됐을 수 있다"고 설명했다. FDUSD는 퍼스트 디지털 자회사인 FD121이 출시한 스테이블코인으로 지난해 7월 바이낸스에 상장된 바 있다.
