The Snapshot page shows that the Lido community initiated a temperature check proposal on "choosing a team to develop the wstETH bridge on BNB" and voting has opened as of January 25. Following the RFP concluded by NEW (Network Expansion Working Group) on December 5, 2023, there were 4 eligible proposals to develop wstETH bridges on BNB, which received positive or neutral feedback from the community, namely LayerZero, Wormhole & Axelar Multibridge, Chainlink CCIP, and Hyperlane & Hadron Labs. Currently, Wormhole & Axelar Multibridge has the highest support rate, accounting for 99.83%. This vote is necessary to complete the first phase of the BNB scaling process, and the proposal encourages Lido DAO to participate in the discussion and raise any concerns in the relevant forum posts to make the best decision. Once the temperature check proposal is voted on, the team selected by Lido DAO will continue to develop the solution. Once the solution is ready (developed, audited, reviewed and deployed by NEW), it will be submitted to the Lido DAO.
