Cathie Wood: Quantum computing may not be truly commercialized until the mid-to-late 2040s

Cathie Wood, founder of ARK Invest, wrote, “One of the most frequent questions we receive about innovation and future trends is about quantum computing. We’ve done a lot of research on the current stage of quantum computing. We believe that commercial applications related to quantum computing will likely emerge in the mid-to-late 2040s, roughly between the mid-to-late 2040s and the mid-2060s. Throughout my career, the real commercial application of quantum computing has always seemed like ‘20 years from now.’ And I’ve been in this field for quite some time. So right now, perhaps we’re still 19 years away from real commercial applications.”
