The Ethereum Foundation has officially established a post-quantum team and listed post-quantum security as its highest strategic priority. Led by cryptography engineer Thomas Coratger, researcher Justin Drake stated that leanVM will serve as the cornerstone of this strategy. The Ethereum Foundation has established a $1 million Poseidon Prize to strengthen hash functions in zero-knowledge proof systems, following a $1 million Proximity Prize established last year. Lighthouse and Grandine have already implemented post-quantum consensus development networks, and Prysm is expected to follow suit, launching a bi-weekly developer conference on post-quantum transactions next month, led by Antonio Sanso.
