Google Trends data shows that global search activity for the keyword "crypto" is hovering near a one-year low, reflecting weakening investor sentiment amid a general downturn in the crypto market. The global search activity index is currently around 30, significantly lower than the 100 reached during the market capitalization peak in August 2025, and the lowest value in the past 12 months is 24. Search trends in the United States show a similar pattern, with search activity declining from its peak in July last year, falling below 37 in January, and reaching a low of 32 this year. Meanwhile, overall trading volume in the crypto market has also declined significantly, falling from a high of over $153 billion in mid-January to approximately $87.5 billion currently. The report points out that search activity is often considered an indicator of investor sentiment, trending in line with sentiment tools such as the Crypto Fear & Greed Index. Data shows that the index recently fell to historically low levels, indicating that the market is in a state of "extreme fear." (Cointelegraph)
