According to CoinDesk, Ixana launched an interactive device that uses the human body's magnetic field to transmit data and a supporting developer platform at CES 2023. Ixana said the technology, called Wi-R, allows the human body to receive data such as music and video without connecting to WiFi or Bluetooth. Shreyas Sen, co-founder and chief technology officer of Ixana, said that the current VR glasses consume a lot of energy and are bulky because of the need to add computing functions, and Wi-R technology can solve these problems by establishing a distributed network around the human body . According to Shreyas Sen, it will take another 2-4 years for the technology to appear in consumer devices, and it will take about 4-5 years for smartphones to adopt it.
