The BIP-110 proposal has recently sparked considerable controversy within the Bitcoin community, with several Bitcoin OGs, including F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun, Casa co-founder Jameson Lopp, and Blockstream CEO Adam Back, explicitly opposing it. Wang Chun stated that the BIP-110 proposal is like "packaging a bunch of nonsense in the name of protecting children and then imposing it on us as a whole." Jameson Lopp also published a lengthy article stating that BIP-110 is reckless, irrational, and doomed to failure. Adam Back believes that BIP-110 could threaten Bitcoin's immutability and store of value. (Note: BIP-110 is the latest improvement proposal put forward by the Bitcoin community, aiming to limit the size of non-monetary data (such as Ordinals) in transactions through a soft fork to alleviate the problem of "junk data" consuming block space.)
