Stripe released its 2025 annual letter on its X platform, stating that its platform's total transaction volume reached $1.9 trillion last year, a 34% year-on-year increase, representing approximately 1.6% of global GDP. Stripe acquired Privy, which supports 110 million programmable wallets, and Metronome, a company operating on a usage-based billing model. According to Stripe's monitoring, stablecoin payment transaction volume doubled to approximately $4 million in 2025, with 60% being B2B business. Stripe co-incubated Tempo, a payment-specific blockchain, with institutions such as Visa, Nubank, and Shopify currently testing it, and its mainnet is about to launch. Furthermore, Stripe developed the Agent Commerce Protocol (ACP) with OpenAI and launched Shared Payment Tokens, a new primitive that allows agents to initiate payments without revealing credentials. In terms of financing and credit, Stripe Capital supported over 81,000 companies in 2025, with financing amount increasing by 45% year-on-year. Stripe stated that it will continue to optimize each transaction through AI-driven tools such as Radar and Optimized Checkout Suite, and is committed to becoming the best way to build a business in the AI era.
