Binance tweeted that it has joined the Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists (ACSS), and said that it is the first cryptocurrency exchange to officially join the association. The goal is to use ACSS training materials, databases and networks to further improve the compliance standards of the encryption industry . Binance stated that the compliance team will increase from 500 to 750 in 2022. All compliance professionals in the team, as well as the money laundering reports, compliance operations and special investigations within Binance will be required to receive ACSS training. It will also help ensure the Binance team keeps up with sanctions and understands the risks of non-compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Foresight News noted that ACSS was established in 2018 and is the only organization in the world that brings together sanctions compliance professionals. the
