In a post on the X platform, Vitalik Buterin stated that an open attitude should be maintained towards Ethereum's current architecture of separating the Beacon Chain from the execution client. He believes that running two daemons and enabling them to communicate with each other is significantly more complex than running a single daemon. Vitalik pointed out that Ethereum's goal is to allow users to use the network in a self-hosted manner and obtain a good user experience, which in many cases means running one's own node, but the current node operation adds unnecessary complexity. He suggested that in the short term, a more standardized basic encapsulation scheme could be implemented, allowing users to install Docker images of different clients and achieve more convenient communication. Furthermore, as the LeanEthereum consensus mechanism matures, the overall architectural design should be re-evaluated in the future.
