USDT0, a fully-chain stablecoin, announced the launch of Tempo, a payment-oriented Layer 1 blockchain. Developed jointly by Stripe and Paradigm, Tempo focuses on predictable settlements, stable fees, and institutional-grade scalable infrastructure. This deployment marks USDT0's 23rd listing chain, covering the Ethereum mainnet and major Layer 2 networks, and expanding to emerging chains like Monad and HyperLiquid, as well as Bitcoin extension networks such as Corn and Rootstock, and USDT ecosystem chains like Stable and Plasma. USDT0 is issued based on LayerZero's fully-chained fungible token (OFT) standard, maintaining a 1:1 peg to USDT to ensure consistency across multiple chains and efficient liquidity migration. Tether previously made a strategic investment in LayerZero Labs, and since its launch last year, USDT0's cumulative trading volume has exceeded $70 billion within 12 months. (The Block)
