U.S. Secretary of State Predicts Short Duration for Iran Military Action

U.S. Secretary of State Rubio recently addressed the media following a meeting with G7 foreign ministers in Paris, stating that the military action against Iran is expected to conclude within weeks rather than months. According to Ming Pao, Rubio emphasized that the objectives of the conflict could be achieved without deploying ground forces. U.S. media outlet Axios reported that Rubio informed the G7 foreign ministers that the war might last an additional two to four weeks, which is slightly longer than the initial four to six weeks announced by U.S. President Donald Trump at the onset of the conflict. Rubio also urged G7 member countries to participate in ensuring the free passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz after the conflict.
