U.S. President Donald Trump has advised countries affected by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, such as the United Kingdom, which has declined to participate in actions against Iran, to either purchase aviation fuel from the United States or take measures to secure it from the strait. According to RTHK, Trump emphasized on social media that these nations should learn to fight for themselves, as the United States will no longer assist them, similar to how they did not aid the U.S. in the past.
Trump asserted that Iran has essentially been defeated, with the most challenging aspects already addressed. He also criticized France for not allowing aircraft carrying military supplies to Israel to fly over its territory, accusing France of being uncooperative in military actions against Iran. Trump noted that the United States will remember France's stance.
