Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Bagheei condemned the US threats against Iranian infrastructure as "war crimes" and warned that any country assisting Washington would be held legally accountable. He said, "There is no doubt that simply issuing such threats is a war crime," noting that the US talks about attacking "energy and industrial infrastructure" while simultaneously "giving Israel the green light to attack civilian targets." He emphasized that these actions constitute war crimes under international humanitarian law and the Statute of the International Criminal Court. "All countries should understand that any act of cooperation or assistance provided by the US in committing its crimes must be held accountable and should be recognized as a war crime and a crime against humanity."
