The UAE and Kuwait accused Iran of launching blatant attacks after the ceasefire.

The United Arab Emirates has accused Iran of launching blatant missile and drone attacks following the announcement of a two-week ceasefire. The UAE Ministry of Defense posted on social media: “Since the ceasefire took effect, Iran has launched blatant attacks, firing a total of 17 ballistic missiles and 35 drones. The air defense system has successfully responded.” Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense also accused Iran of continuing attacks after the ceasefire, stating that Wednesday morning’s attacks “clearly demonstrate its continued targeting of the country’s security and critical infrastructure.” It remains unclear whether the reports of continued Iranian attacks are a response to Israel’s strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon or an attempt to continue projecting its threat to the region. Several other attacks have occurred in the region since the ceasefire, including an attack on a vital east-west oil pipeline that transports crude oil from the Gulf to the Red Sea for export. (Jinshi)
