Gold and silver prices rose across the board, while cryptocurrency volatility fell, with both the BVIX and EVIX dropping by more than 1%.

In the foreign exchange market, the USD/CNH exchange rate fell 0.06% to 6.82280. The USD/JPY exchange rate rose 0.09% to 159.142. In global stock indices, the Euro Stoxx 50 rose 0.60% to 5,948.37 points; the UK FTSE 100 rose 0.18% to 10,623.85 points; and the German DAX 40 rose 0.30% to 23,987.90 points. In commodities, WTI crude oil rose 0.25% to $98.53 per barrel, while Brent crude oil fell 0.56% to $98.54 per barrel.
