Benchmark is bullish on Securitize: target price $16, betting on the growth potential of the tokenization sector.

In its latest research report, Benchmark reiterated its bullish view on Securitize, giving it a post-IPO price target of $16 (ticker symbol SECZ), believing it is poised to significantly benefit from the tokenized asset wave. The analysis points out that the current total market capitalization of NYSE-listed companies is approximately $44 trillion. If Securitize acquires even just 1 basis point (0.01%) of this market, its platform's asset size could more than double from its current approximately $4 billion. Benchmark emphasizes that Securitize is not only a tokenization platform but also possesses a "complete regulatory accreditation system" encompassing brokerage, transfer agency, and trading functions, potentially generating diversified revenue streams throughout the entire asset lifecycle, including asset issuance, secondary trading, and custody services. Furthermore, the company has been designated as the digital transfer agent for the NYSE's proposed tokenized securities platform, which supports 24/7 trading. Meanwhile, its tokenized US Treasury fund BUIDL, developed in partnership with BlackRock, has reached nearly $3 billion in size, demonstrating the rapid growth of the institutional-grade RWA market. However, Benchmark also cautioned that factors including regulatory uncertainty, liquidity fragmentation, and technological risks could still put pressure on its valuation. (The Block)
