Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Supports forward-looking research on space computing technology

A press conference held by the State Council Information Office introduced the development of industry and information technology in the first quarter of 2026. Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, stated that the Ministry will guide the orderly construction of computing infrastructure according to demand, promote the coordinated layout of green power and computing power, advance the full coverage of automated monitoring of computing power, improve the Chinese computing power platform, facilitate precise matching of computing power supply and demand, and improve the efficiency of computing power resource utilization. Simultaneously, the Ministry will further implement the "Computing Power Foundation Challenge," promote the transformation and innovation of research results, improve the construction of the computing power standard system, support forward-looking research on space computing technology, and orderly promote the development of the space computing power industry.
