Sullivan & Cromwell informed a U.S. bankruptcy court that an April 9 filing in a Chapter 15 case associated with Prince Group contained errors generated by AI, including fictitious citations. According to NS3.AI, the firm withdrew the initial motion and submitted a revised version after lawyers representing Prince Group and Chen Zhi contested the cited authorities. Defendants claimed that at least 28 citations were incorrect, and the case involves claims over billions of dollars in cryptocurrency, which prosecutors allege is connected to scam activities.
