To combat cryptocurrency scams, the Singapore Police Force's Anti-Scam Centre and Cyber Investigations Unit collaborated with cryptocurrency platforms in a crackdown, successfully intercepting over S$2.86 million in fraudulent funds. The Singapore Police Force stated in a press release on Thursday (April 23) that authorities, in cooperation with cryptocurrency platforms such as Coinbase, Coinhako, StraitsX, and Upbit, conducted a month-long enforcement operation from March 16 to April 15. During the operation, authorities utilized tools from blockchain intelligence company TRM Labs and blockchain analytics company Chainalysis, employing advanced blockchain analytics to identify victims who had fallen victim to scams.
