According to a report by Iran's Mehr News Agency on the 25th, Iranian Parliament member Behnam Saeidi stated that Iran has formulated a comprehensive plan for managing the Strait of Hormuz. In an interview with Mehr News Agency, Saeidi said that a key aspect of the plan is that in all correspondence and commercial documents, only the name "Persian Gulf" will be recognized, and no other name will be accepted. Ships and vessels navigating within the area must obtain permission from Iran. Sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz will be entirely in Iranian hands. He also stated that ships from countries deemed hostile by Iran's Supreme National Security Council or the General Staff of the Armed Forces will be prohibited from passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and Israeli ships are absolutely prohibited from passing through the area. Ships passing through the area must pay relevant fees for security, environmental protection, shipping management, and permit issuance, with payment primarily in rials. (Xinhua)
