The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted U.S. Special Forces soldier Gannon Ken Van Dyke, accusing him of illegally profiting over $400,000 by using classified intelligence to predict a U.S. raid on Venezuela on the prediction market platform Polymarket. According to a recent CNN report, Trump appears to have changed his stance on the matter. After learning that the soldier had bet on Maduro's downfall, he immediately compared the incident to baseball legend Pete Rose predicting his own team would win, responding with a dismissive tone. Trump stated, "It's like Rose predicting his team would win. If he predicted he would lose, that would be bad, but he predicted he would win, and I'll investigate that." Furthermore, given Trump's support for Rose, at least several Trump allies have indicated that Trump should pardon the soldier. (CNN)
