China's lead negotiator for China-US trade and economic cooperation, Vice Premier He Lifeng, held a video call with his US counterparts, Treasury Secretary Rachel Bessenter and Trade Representative Greer. The two sides engaged in a frank, in-depth, and constructive exchange on implementing the important consensus reached at the Busan summit and previous phone calls between the two heads of state, and on further resolving trade and economic issues of mutual concern and expanding pragmatic cooperation. China expressed serious concern regarding the recent US trade restrictions on China. Both sides agreed to continue to leverage the China-US trade and economic consultation mechanism, continuously enhance consensus, manage differences, strengthen cooperation, and promote the healthy, stable, and sustainable development of China-US trade and economic relations.
