Morgan Stanley Wealth Management's head, Jed Finn, shared insights at the Consensus 2026 conference in Miami, stating that traditional finance (TradFi) is expected to integrate decentralized finance (DeFi) rather than be disrupted by it. According to Foresight News, Finn predicted that in five years, DeFi will simply be referred to as 'Finance.' He also expressed optimism about the development of public blockchains, noting that private blockchain models may face significant challenges.
Additionally, Morgan Stanley plans to launch a new product in the coming weeks. This offering will allow clients to transfer crypto assets held on external platforms into Morgan Stanley and convert them into corresponding ETFs. This process will enable clients to use these assets as collateral for loans without triggering tax liabilities.
