U.S. President Donald Trump met with his national security team on Monday to discuss potential military actions against Iran following stalled negotiations over the weekend. According to Odaily, Trump is seeking an agreement to end the conflict, but Iran has rejected his demands and refused to make significant concessions on its nuclear program, bringing military options back into consideration.
Trump has recently threatened to bomb Iranian infrastructure if diplomatic efforts fail. Officials mentioned that one option includes targeting 25% of the identified but yet unstruck military targets. U.S. officials stated that Vice President Vance, U.S. Special Envoy Witkoff, Secretary of State Rubio, Defense Secretary Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Kane, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and other senior officials are expected to attend the meeting on Iran.
