Abu Dhabi Investment Council, a $160 billion fund, has appointed Lori Hall-Kim as chief investment officer for its private equity business. According to Sina Finance, she moved from the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, where she joined in 2022 and helped expand the private equity portfolio's net assets from about C$20 billion to C$24.2 billion. According to Sina Finance, Hall-Kim previously spent six years in the private equity department of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and earlier helped set up the London office of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, where she oversaw its Europe funds and co-investment business for 11 years. She will report to private equity executive director Alain Carrière and oversee the unit's overall investment work. The article said the hiring adds to Abu Dhabi Investment Council's talent pool, which also includes former Future Fund chief investment officer Ben Samild and Edward Winter, who previously worked at Global Infrastructure Partners.
