Genesis owes at least $3.5 billion to a top 50 creditors including cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, trading firm Cumberland, cryptocurrency fund Mirana, MoonAlpha Finance and VanEck’s New Finance Income Fund, CoinDesk reported. Among them, Gemini owes $766 million; owes Cumberland $18.7 million; owes Mirana $151.5 million; owes MoonAlpha Finance $150 million; owes New Finance Income Fund $53 million; owes two unknown creditors $462.2 million and $230 million dollars; and $55 million owed to a company called Heliva Internation Corp. Foresight News previously reported that Genesis Global Holdco, LLC and two lending subsidiaries, Genesis Global Capital, LLC (GGC) and Genesis Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy papers in New York federal district court. Among them, the assets and liabilities listed by Genesis Global Capital, LLC are estimated to be between 1 billion and 10 billion US dollars, and the estimated number of creditors exceeds 100,000.
